The Original Boss Xtreme reels have been the staple product of our reel line since the beginning. The original Accurate owners purchased the 197, 270, 870, and 665 which were the first wave of TwinDrag® reels sold and many of those reels are still putting fish on the deck. As innovation continued, the Nilsen twins have taken the Boss Series to a new level of engineering with new materials and designs that are lighter, more powerful, and with new cosmetics that makes them stand out on the shelf. These reels have been copied but never duplicated and stand as the first TwinDrag® reel ever offered. These reels are the definition of Small Reels Big Fish. Boss Xtreme reels are only available in right-hand configuration.

Great for slowpitch jigging

Ive owned a 500n which i paired with a chaos sp jigging rod with a blan from black hole. Ive caught over 50 snappers out to 28 lbs. kingfish cobia, ajs and a whole bunch of other species in the south texas gulf. Ive owned mine for two seasons and it still works as new with no maintenance whatsoever. Mine didnt come with the jigging handle and its the single speed. Its by far my favorite reel. Its so lightweight but holds 500 yards of 30lb braid. It reels fish far above its weight class with ease. I highly recommend it.

Quality reel

I haven’t used it yet as I am preparing early for tuna season here in NorCal but this thing feels solid along with handle upgrades, big shoutout to Matt for helping me with the upgrades along with bery smooth transaction.
