I got mine about 3 years ago and have caught a more than a few bill fishes including a 300+ blue marlin on 20 pound line! I love light tackle and I use it with mono only! They are so reliable that I can fight a big fish with little effort from fighting a fish heavy tackle! The rod I built for that reel is in perfect balance for a perfect combination

I have 6 of these great reels, and planning to add more. Fishing Albacore offshore from the Columbia River, you had better have a reel that can take some punishment. This is THE reel! Super smooth, great drag system, and excellent user friendly design - and as a bonus, very easy to service. The picture says it all ! PS: I have a bunch of "now obsolete" reels for sale !
